Eurofor and Comacchio introduce the MC 2: a next-generation underpinning rig
At the Solscope trade fair on June 18–19, Eurofor and Comacchio announced the launch of the MC 2, an innovative rig dedicated to underpinning works. This new compact, powerful, and versatile model marks a major first for Comacchio in this field of application.
The result of a strategic collaboration between Comacchio’s technical expertise and Eurofor’s field experience, the MC 2 represents a new step forward in drilling innovation for the most demanding environments. It provides a concrete response to the needs of construction and civil engineering professionals facing difficult access conditions and increasingly stringent compactness requirements.
Engineered for performance in confined spaces
Designed for both indoor and outdoor operations, the MC 2 stands out for its ultra-compact dimensions (735 x 3,000 x 2,155 mm) and its light weight of 2,500 kg, offering great agility on narrow or hard-to-access worksites. Its modular design also allows customization of work configurations according to site requirements.
Its mast, available with several stroke lengths (from 1,000 to 2,250 mm), provides extended movement capacity, with working angles of up to ±90°. This ensures high flexibility for both vertical and horizontal drilling operations.
Where performance meets versatility
With a rotation torque ranging from 225 to 430 daNm and a speed range of 80 to 810 rpm, the MC 2 is suitable for both rotary and rotary-percussive drilling applications. It is available in diesel (33 kW) or electric (30 kW) versions, allowing integration on all types of worksites, including urban or underground areas.
Optional accessories include a hydraulic hammer, a winch, a line lubricator, and a foam pump.
Increased safety and improved operating comfort
The operator can work with full confidence thanks to the fully hydraulic mast control, eliminating the need for direct manual intervention. This design guarantees maximum safety while improving ease of use and overall efficiency.
